Cross-Canada VIRTUAL Yom Hashoah V'Hagvurah Commemoration

7:00PM - 8:30PM

Join us for an online cross-Canada Holocaust remembrance presentation when we will come together as a nation to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust, remember the victims, and pay tribute to the resilience and faith of the Canadian community of survivors. The unfortunate cancellation of in-person Yom Hashoah gatherings has provided an unprecedented opportunity to collaborate with communities from coast to coast, when solidarity and togetherness is more important than ever.

The program will include greetings from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, curated films with survivor testimony, musical performances, and prayers. There will also be participatory elements so you can contribute to the program from your home.

We hope you will join us for this meaningful program.

Presented together with the Azrieli Foundation, March of the Living Canada, and the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem.

We are proud to have the following organizations from communities across Canada participating in lieu of in-person Yom Hashoah commemorations in our cities:

Atlantic Jewish Council, Pier 21, Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre, Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre, Jewish Federation of Ottawa, Centre for Holocaust Education and Scholarship at Carleton University, Ottawa Jewish Archives, Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada, Jewish Federation of Edmonton, Calgary Jewish Federation, Hamilton Jewish Federation
