The Norwegian countryside provides the visually spectacular landscape for this family-friendly film exploring courage and friendship. Ten-year-old Gerda sees herself as an intrepid musketeer compared to her more cautious brother Otto. When their parents are arrested for being part of the Norwegian resistance, the siblings discover two Jewish children, Sarah and Daniel, hidden in their basement. Determined to finish what their parents started, Gerda and Otto devise a plan to cross the border into neutral Sweden and reunite Sarah and Daniel with their parents. An adventure story with fairy tale accents and incredible portrayals by the children.
