Please join us to hear the testimony of Holocaust survivor Judy Cohen, an active speaker and Holocaust and human rights educator. Judy founded the website “Women and the Holocaust” in 2001, which collects testimony, literature and scholarly material exploring the unique experiences of women in the Holocaust.
Judy Weissenberg Cohen was born in Debrecen, Hungary, on September 17, 1928. After the war, she lived in the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp in Germany. Judy immigrated to Montreal in 1948, where she worked in the garment industry and then in an office and public relations. She married her husband, Sidney, in 1961 and raised two children. Judy Cohen lives in Toronto.
