Lessons from the Nazi Physicians

Lecture

The history of the eugenics movement, physician involvement in Nazi euthanasia programs, and other aspects of medicine in that era will be reviewed. As well, a discussion about what lessons might be gleaned that pertain to modern medical ethical questions will be included.​

Marc Mercurio is Professor of Pediatrics, Chief of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and the Director of the Program for Biomedical Ethics at Yale School of Medicine.  Mark has for many years served as medical faculty for the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) and has many published works.​
